Privacy Policy

This policy covers personal information processed when you visit venuesetu.com, use the VenueSetu booking platform on behalf of a venue, book a venue or slot as a customer, or message a venue through the VenueSetu WhatsApp channel. It does not cover the independent privacy practices of venue operators themselves, or of third-party sites we link to.

Depending on how you interact with VenueSetu, we may collect:

• Your name.
• Mobile number and, where you contact us through it, your WhatsApp number.
• Booking information, such as the venue, sport, date, time, and party size.
• Venue and slot details relevant to the booking you make or manage.
• Payment and transaction references (for example, an order ID or payment status) needed to confirm and reconcile a booking. We do not collect or store your full card, UPI, or bank account credentials ourselves — those are handled directly by our payment processor, described below.
• Device, browser, IP address, and similar technical information, where applicable (for example, standard web server logs and diagnostic data from the booking platform).
• Communications and customer-support information, such as messages you send us on WhatsApp, by email, or through a support request, and records of how we responded.

We use the information above to:

• Create, manage, and update bookings and slot holds.
• Send booking confirmations, reminders, and service notifications.
• Process payments for bookings.
• Provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and keep our platform reliable.
• Improve our services, including the reliability of booking and messaging flows.
• Comply with applicable legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

Where a venue offers booking over WhatsApp, your messages, mobile number, and the booking details you share are processed using the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform in order to deliver that conversation, send booking-related messages, and let a venue respond to you. Meta processes this information as our messaging infrastructure provider and under its own platform terms and privacy policy, which govern how Meta itself handles data on WhatsApp. We use this channel only for booking-related and customer-support communication, not for unrelated marketing without your consent.

We use Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway, to process payments for bookings. When you pay for a booking, your payment details are submitted directly to Razorpay (or another payment provider we may use) and are subject to that provider's own privacy policy and security practices. We receive confirmation of payment status and a transaction reference so we can confirm your booking — we do not store your full payment card or bank details.

We share personal information only where necessary to provide our services:

• Venue operators — the venue you are booking with receives the booking and contact details needed to fulfil your booking.
• Payment providers — such as Razorpay, to process and confirm payment for a booking.
• Messaging providers — such as Meta, to deliver WhatsApp communications.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — who host, store, and help operate our platform on our behalf, under confidentiality and security obligations.
• Legal and regulatory authorities — where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of VenueSetu, our users, or others.

We do not sell personal information.

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services — for example, to keep an accurate booking history, support you if a dispute arises, and meet applicable tax, accounting, and other legal or regulatory record-keeping requirements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep our safeguards current with industry practice.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to the exceptions described in our Data Deletion page (for example, information we must retain for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution reasons). To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 13 below.

This website does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics or tracking services. If that changes, we will update this policy to describe what is used and how you can control it.

Our website and platform may link to, or rely on, third-party services such as our payment gateway and messaging provider described above. Those third parties have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites or services we do not control.

VenueSetu is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. We will update the effective date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
